July is the rainy season in Costa Rica. Even though we were lucky with the weather, the air was still hot and humid. Every time we walked through national parks, I would start to speed up without realising it. Within minutes, I was sweating and out of breath. I simply couldn’t keep that pace. It was a gentle reminder to slow down.

And so I did. It’s the only way to truly enjoy the essence of the primary forest, to spot the animals so talented at hiding in the trees, and to stop for minutes at a time just to watch them. Pure magic. I felt connected, grounded, and inspired (you’ll read more stories from this trip in the coming weeks ;-)).

That’s why it was such a shock landing at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport, straight into the frenzy of passengers rushing in every direction, and having to run for our connecting flight to Geneva… which turned out to be late. I remember thinking, “I hate this. The frenzy makes you sweat.”

Since coming back from this wonderful family adventure, I simply can’t speed up. (It’s been very warm in France too!) And for now, I don’t want to. I take my time, for myself, for my family, for my clients.
It’s as if the rhythm of the forest has followed me home and keep nurturing me. And I’ve decided to keep it for now. It helps me focus on what matters most and fully enjoy the moments in between.

How about YOU? What is the tempo that helps you today feel aligned with who you are?

Be Brave.
