She does everything right.
Answers fast. Says yes. Adjusts. Accommodates. Smooths things over before anyone even notices there was a bump. She is the person everyone relies on. The one who never drops the ball.
She is also exhausted.
When I ask her what SHE wants, she goes quiet. Not because she doesn’t know. Because she has spent so long tuning into everyone else’s frequency that she has almost forgotten she has her own. She could not answer this question at that moment. And that is perfect. She sat with the question for a few days. And came back with those words : “I want my ENERGY back”.
Those 5 words moved me deeply. You see. I do not believe in any God. But I do believe in this something bigger than us that I call ENERGY. For me this is this spark that connects me + me, me + you + everyone else, me + Nature.
During our last conversation, something shifted. I started intentionally with “What do you want to CREATE?”.
Yes. Intentionally. She spent most of her life reacting. REACT and CREATE have the same letters. Except CREATE has an extra E. The Energy.
She had a lot of fun playing with CREATE. A full spectrum of emotions opened up : joy, passion, fear, surprise, apprehension, relief, frustration, embarrassment, thrill. She did not push any of it way. Well, you see, emotion = e-motion = energy in motion. And all of it was helpful for her at that moment.
I learnt it the hard way myself. Reacting does not bring energy. It just uses it up. Someone pulls, you move. Someone asks, you deliver. Someone needs, you give. Until one day the tank is empty and you wonder why you are so tired.
Creating is different. Creating requires you to decide where the energy goes. It requires you to show up, not as the person everyone needs you to be, but as your true self.
My client is reconnecting with her inner true force. This is magical. The journey continues.
