Since we started our conversation I have this song running in my head. And the more our conversation deepens the louder it pulses. So I just shared it with him. And this lit him up. It turns out he knows the song and he likes it too.
We started singing together. What a connection! And this allowed us to go even deeper.
There was a time when I used to push my feelings and intuition aside, focusing mainly on the rational and the logic. And it hurt me. Because this is not who I am. Not at all (Enneagram 8 for those who are familiar “Action Center first, Feeling Center second and Thinking Center last”). But I pretended, because I desperately wanted to fit it.
Now, I fully own who I am. Unapologetically. And I choose to embrace it all.
When something surfaces during a conversation (a song, a mental image, a sensation) I share it. Sometimes it does not land, but most of the time, it does. And all of the time, it brings a new energy to the room and opens the field of possibilities.
I cherish this special blend of body+mind+soul. There’s something extraordinary about syncing with another person at that level.
This is where the real magic occurs.
