This is something I hear often at the end of the LEGO® Serious Play® workshops I facilitate.

At some point, the instructions feel deliberately uncomfortable. AKA : “Build ONE thing that is holding you back. You have two minutes.”

“Wait … WHAT???”. The brain panics.

And then something interesting happens.

You stop trying to think your way through it.

You put your hands in the bricks. And you let them lead. Without fully knowing why, pieces connect. A shape emerges. A story appears.

And suddenly, you discover something about yourself or your situation that you haven’t been able to articulate before. Simply because you courageously decided to trust the process associated with the LEGO® Serious Play® method.

That’s the power of learning and thinking through the hands: it bypasses over-control, opens access to intuition, and reveals what was already there, just not yet visible.

If you’re curious about how this kind of approach can unlock clarity, alignment or fresh perspectives for you, your team or your organization, let’s talk!

Be Brave.
