Look around you. There will always be someone with a bigger title, a bigger house, a bigger car, a bigger company, a bigger bank account.
You can spend your life chasing. Upgrading. Comparing. Arriving somewhere, catching your breath for five minutes, then spotting the next bigger boat on the horizon and starting all over again.
Or …
You can ask yourself : “Is this boat the right one for the life I actually want to live?”
Not the life someone else mapped out for you. Not the life that looks good from the outside. YOUR LIFE. Filled with what matters to you, the people you love, and the work that has meaning.
I am not saying: “Don’t be ambitious”. I am not saying : “Settle”.
I am saying : “Know what you are sailing towards. And why.”
Because a bigger boat is just a bigger boat. It won’t make the sea more beautiful. It won’t make the journey more meaningful. And it definitely won’t tell you who you are.
